This Saturday: Diversity Film - 4 Little Girls by Spike Lee
The Roeper Multicultural Leadership Team will be screening Spike Lee's Academy award nominated documentary 4 Little Girls. This documentary showcases the damage and carnage of racial hate and violence that occurred on September 15, 1963, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Four little girls, Addie May Collins, Carol Denise McNair, Cynthia Wesley, and Carole Rosamond Robertson, were killed at their church The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church on children’s day.
Lee does a remarkable job of speaking with the surviving family members and civic leaders as they retell the story of this tumultuous period of time in the civil rights movement.
Saturday, January 27 at 6:00pm in the Birmingham Campus Library. No admission charge.
