For over 60 years, Mariann Hoag was a trailblazing leader, administrator, and visionary at Roeper. Throughout most of her tenure, she chaired the Financial Aid committee. Balancing nurturing care with firm guidance, she possessed an innate ability to know each student by name and discern when they needed encouragement to rise to their full potential. Her profound dedication and insight recognized the greatness within every child.

If there exists a greater purpose in life than was Mariann’s, it truly escapes us. Because of her fierce and purposeful devotion, she altered the trajectories of countless Roeper students across generations.

Upon her passing in 2009, Roeper paid tribute to Mariann's unwavering dedication to Roeper students by renaming the financial aid program in her honor:

The Mariann Hoag Financial Aid Grant Award Program

We are excited to commemorate her lasting legacy through a fundraising event to bolster Roeper’s need-based financial aid program.
Educating and inspiring gifted students to think as individuals and to engage as a community with compassion for each other and this world.
