The inaugural Stage III Soup experience was an example of inspiring young students to think, create and collaborate. It was a celebration of innovative ideas into potential solutions for the Roeper community.
Inspired by Detroit Soup's crowd-funding model, the monthlong project challenged students to develop proposals aimed at improving life at the Lower School, and to hone their persuasive presentation skills.
Over the weeks, students worked alongside their team members to devise a three-minute pitch in which they shared their ideas and their proposals. During the culminating gathering students and parents enjoyed some delicious soups prepared by the students. After the students presented their pitch, parents voted their choice.
The winners of Stage III Soup were the Sporties, who will replace and improve the sports equipment available to them during recess. Other incredible ideas the students thought of were to purchase a green house, buddy bench, banners for campus, and a class pet.
