Programs and Partnerships

Roeper’s commitment to diversity fuels its support for programs that enhance community awareness and provide students, faculty, staff, and families with immersive experiences in diverse cultures.
  • SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity): a diversity education program that promotes self-discovery and personal growth. Participants in the National SEED Project, including Roeper faculty, staff, students, and parents, report that SEED helps them listen more attentively to all voices and navigate the challenges and joys of diversity with greater confidence and competence. The program’s reflective, inside-out approach encourages individuals to examine their own identities and how they are shaped by various aspects of diversity, such as race, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, and ethnicity. Through activities, films, conversations, and other resources, SEED provides a structured framework for exploring and discussing complex issues.
  • SENG (Supporting the Needs of the Gifted) is a book-based discussion group focused on parenting gifted children. Topics include gifted characteristics, family dynamics, friendships, motivation, and more. Led by trained facilitators, members participate in a series of sessions following the SENG model. This group offers parents of gifted children a chance to connect, share insights, and enhance their skills in supporting the self-concept and emotional development of their children and families.
  • Continuous Professional Development for all staff/faculty
  • NAIS People of Color Conference
  • Partnership with Hartmann-Eton Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL): to develop programming that will enhance the learning experience for 2E learners at The Roeper School. The CTL specializes in the science of learning, learning systems and processes, and supporting students with specific learning differences/disabilities.
