ROEPER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Roeper School is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for economically disadvantaged, gifted students entering ninth (9th) grade for the 2014-2015 school year.
Gifted students are those who often perform (or show such potential) at a level much beyond that of others of the same age, experience or environment. These students are highly capable in the intellectual, creative, and/or artistic areas, possess an unusual leadership capacity, or excel in specific academic areas. They require services and/or activities that are often beyond the scope of their schools.
Scholars will be selected from all applicants on the basis of their academic records, achievements and IQ test scores, recommendations of teachers and counselors, and what they can bring to the Roeper community. Scholars must also meet all the admission requirements of The Roeper School and verify financial need.
Awards will be made for partial or full tuition for the 2014-2015 school year, the actual amount determined by demonstrated financial need. Awards will continue through each grade level as long as the student remains in good standing.
Scholarship applications must be received by December 2, 2013. Please contact Elli Altman at 248.203.7433 or by e-mail at email@example.com for a packet of information. Candidates with applications completed by December 2nd will be invited to take a group IQ test to be administered on Saturday, December 7th at 9 a.m.
Our next Middle and Upper School Open House will be on Sunday, November 10th at 1:00 pm. It will be held in the Birmingham campus library located at 1051 Oakland Avenue (on the west side of Adams, two blocks north of Maple). Please note that we encourage both parents/guardians and students to attend and the program begins promptly at 1:00 pm.
