kristin clark taylor speaks to roeper students
Kristin Clark Taylor, a former senior White House advisor, corporate public relations executive, journalist, author, lecturer, consultant and ’76 Roeper Alumna, visited The Roeper School on April 12, 2013. Kristin spoke with students and shared memories of Roeper, various experiences in her career, and encouraged students not to be afraid to take a leap of faith when confronting choices.
“I was really excited to hear what Kristin had to say about incorporating Roeper into her everyday life,” said sophomore, Kamaria Wilson. “Getting into the world of politics can, at times, become very messy. She showed that having Roeper as part of her background allowed her to integrate the Roeper philosophy into her work life. It was cool to know that even if one cannot change the world as a whole, using what Roeper teaches through your own actions can still make a big difference.”
Kristin was able to visit Roeper while she was in Michigan to receive the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from Michigan State University as a part of the College of Arts & Letters 50th anniversary celebration. The Roeper School is proud to be a part of Kristin’s life and grateful for her as well as all other alumni’s investment into the lives of Roeper students.
