MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Roeper’s no-cut policy helps ensure that all students are given the opportunity to benefit from a positive team experience. This means that students will not be asked to “tryout” for a team, nor will they be “cut” for lack of ability. They are, however, asked to do their best, take pride in their efforts and learn how to be a responsible member of a team.
Teaching young athletes the proper fundamentals and rules at the Middle School level is a major focus, and practice time is devoted to ensure that our athletes have the proper building blocks to succeed in increasingly higher levels of play in the future. Guided by a positive learning environment, and fun and creative practices, over half of the Middle School student body participates in a sport each year.
